I’ve been getting many e-mails asking about reading order, so I promised to bring this list back up here. Note that this is MY recommended reading order for all my Realms books, not the exact list you’ll see in the front of Archmage, which numbers the Legend of Drizzt.

The Legend of Drizzt is a fantastic series by the American author R.A Salvatore. This series tells the story of Drizzt Do’Urden, a drow (or dark elf) who decides not to follow the evil way of his people and leaving the Underdark (the place below the surface were drows and other dark creatures dwell).

I first read a Drizzit novel decades ago and often compared my own fantasy work to R.A. Salvatore. Timeless seemed like a good choice to catch up and see what the author has been up to lately. While some elements of the old days still linger, this new start of a trilogy is a far cry from what I remember of that most enjoyable novel long ago.
